What is Professional Tax Registration ?

Professional Tax is the tax levied by the various State Governments of India on salaried individuals working in government or non-government entities, or in practice of any profession, such as CAs, Lawyers, Doctors, etc. or carry out some form of business, are required to pay this professional tax. Professional tax is a tax on income earned by employees or self employeed people. Professional tax is a deductible amount for the purpose of Income-tax Act, 1961 and can be deducted from taxable income. Professional Tax is like Income tax but is collected by the State Government while Income Tax is collected by the Central Government.

  • Self attested copy of PAN Card
  • Copy of Aadhar Card
  • Signature on Blank Paper for record and verification.
  • Scanned passport-sized photograph
  • Latest Bank Statement /Telephone/ Mobile Bill/Electricity / Gas Bill (Any One)
  • Latest Bank Statement / Canceled cheque

  • Memorandum of Association (MOA) & Article of Association (AOA) of Company.
  • Certificate of Incorporation of Company.
  • Light Bill / Rent Agreement.
  • PAN Card Copy of Company / Firm
  • List of Directors/Partners
  • PAN Card Copy of Director/Partners
  • Aadhaar Card Copy of Director/Partners
  • Passport size Photographs of all Directors/Partners
  • Authorisation Letter by signatories.
  • Board Resolution passed by the Director of the Company authorizing Professional Tax Registration.
  • Canceled cheque / Bank Statements.
  • Attendance Register & Salary Register.
